During the SS22 fashion shows, the models from the major fashion houses were adorned with a variety of hair accessories. We saw everything from basic bun accessories at Fendi, to elaborate embellished hair clips by Tom Ford. For the season ahead there really is something for everyone.
Whilst 90’s inspired hair accessories are still out in force, we can see a movement into the year 2000, when pop culture reigned supreme. The 90’s
90’s inspired hair accessories are still big news for 2022. These much loved clamps, clips and grips are here to stay and were in fact some of our best selling lines last year. Y2K
In just over 20 years we’re back to the year 2000 - think of the days when Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were the ultimate fashion icons. In fact, #Y2K already has over 2.6 million posts on instagram so this look is going to be big. The hair accessories inspired by this era are more colourful and playful than the subtle shades of the 90’s. The most featured hair accessory on the SS22 catwalks was the hair clip. Appearing in many different styles, shapes, colours and sizes, hair clips will definitely be centre stage for 2022.

The headkerchief first appeared on the AW21 catwalks of Dior and Versace, and are set to come into their own for SS22.
